When configuring this LNBF what do I choose in LBN (Standard)?
WHat do I enter in the Lo value?

Thanks.

BSC621-2 is universal.
BSC621 is standard.

In our model number, the "-2" means it has 2 LOs. Those LO frequencies are normally 09750 and 10600.

The "-2" indicator applies to all our LNBFs.
BSC321-2 is universal while
BSC321 is standard and so on.

BTW, the BSC621 will be available in about a week. Several DMS International Resellers have them on back order. Most of you know Pete at www.psbsatellite.com, he has a good sized back order and will be one of the first to have product. MrTim

Thanks for your replies.

I am trying to get a PrimeDIsh Oval satellige going but I am having some problems. I am pretty much doing the same way it was done by several other members here.
I already have a 10- feet BUD which I install from scratch myself and it is aligned 100% c/ku.
So, now trying to get this other one is where I get no signal at all. THis is what I have done so maybe someone can help me here.

I HAVE:

36x39 oval primestar dish
Pansat 3500 S
BSC621-2

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE:

1) set pole in ground 100% plumb
2) BSC621-2 setting for Latitud=27 Longitud=82 as per manual
3) Set BSC621-2 into pole
4) Set PrimeDish into BSC621-2
5) Moved my BUD to true south with for me is AMC9 at 83 degrees to see where my true south really is. I get great quality with my BUD 85 - 100 % on most TP. Once I had my BUD pointing to real true south, I used an Inclinometer to find out declination/inclination of BUD Dish.
6) WIth data from 5, I went to my small Primestar dish and move it so that the declination/inclination will be exactly as the one in my BUD (which is 30). I moved the dish up and placed the inclinometer on the back middle part of the primestar dish until it will mark 30.
7) Then I moved my Primestar dish to point exactly where the BUD was pointing so I KNOW I am pointing to TRUE south at the RIGHT inclination.
8) Connected cable coming from LNBF to motor LNB and got another cable from Motor receiver to my Pansat 3500S.
9) Turn on my Pansat 3500, went into configuration for AMC9
10) Changed the setting ONLY for Diseqc and set it to #2 (ku, according to the mannual #1=C, #2=Ku)
11) Changed the TP to the one I was getting the highest quality signal 99% on my BUD and then got ZERO using my primestart dish.
12) Moved the dish left, right a little and nothing, nothing, nothing,.........
13) I then tried to move it up , down a little nothing, nothing, nothing.....
14) I know I am my LNBF is good because I am getting signal up to 80 %. So if my LNBF was bad I would not get anything.
15) GOT MAD AND HIT THE POLE WITH A HAMMER,
16) Had to fix the pole and plumb it again.

That is why I was thinking about universal/standar, because I NEVER changed that setting in my Pansat 3500s, I left it the same way I had it for my BUD (which uses a Chaparrarl c/ku) which is set to Standard. Would that make a difference, not setting it to Universal????

What else can I check,,, HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPp, I do not want to bring back the hammer.

The problem is elevation. The BUD is a prime focus dish, the Primestar is an offset. Elevation readings using an inclinometer do not directly translate between the two. Try lowering the elevation of the Primestar by appox. 22 deg.

Thanks for your reply GrumpyGuy, I will try it latter today.

bsc621-2 & Scalar RIng Settings

How do I set the scalar ring? It does not come with a measure mark like the one I have on any other Chaparral? How deep do I get the scalar ring into the feed?

I would just wing it and see if reception changes. On my C-Band only version of that (ASC421) I thought it would be flush with the insde of the rings (the LNB was even with the inside of the rings) but found out for optimum signal, it ended up being in about 3/4" farther in
