On my new 6' dish, I have a Bsc421 LNB but looking around on google, am not able to confirm which type it is.
The manual says it's output is 950 MHz to 1750 MHz which is nowhere near any of the settings on the receiver.

As I'm having a hard time finding 105W on the 6' dish, I figured I'd try pre-setting a TP on traxis receiver, then move the dish around for the best signal. However, I am not sure what to set the LNB type to.

Anyone have one that might be able to enlighten me.

The issue is on 105 C-Band there is no DVB signals. Its mainly for 4DTV.

The easiest way I've learned to get 105 is do this

Bring up AnikF1 (107.3)
select a transponder from thelist
SatelliteGuys.US - 107.3°W Anik F1R C

I usually use 4100 V
Aim the dish for that and maximize signal...then slowly move the dish east until the signal quality disappears....more often than not I am now very near 105W. I use to do this when I had a 4DTV for the music channels (sadly the 4DTV took a power surge and fried)

I'll second Icebergs method, I do it all the time to get onto 105W and fire up the DSR-410. Using my V-Box and Traxis I get onto 103W and give the V-Box a full "click" west or get onto 107.3 and give it a full click east. Either way, you'll be real close.
