Okay, I Googled it.
I doubt it would work with DirecTV receivers.
Well, it might work as a media server to the HR DVRs.

I have been running tversity, but wanted to try boxee since it has support for netflix. I was wondering if anyone gets it to show up as a server. Sorry for being so brief.

No problem. Not everyone here is up on some of the new tech.
Hell, I'm not up on most of the new tech.

In my case, I was pleasantly surprised when the WD Whitebook showed up as a server to my HRs.
I only bought the WD as I wanted the 1TB backup on my network.
The WD uses Twonky.

boxee is not a dlna/upnp server though.

The problem with the Twonky implementation in the WD Whitebook is that I've found no way to have it do some of the video translation (?) functions. I just do the video stuff on the PC and transfer it to the WD.

Nothing fancy, but works fine for me.
