As I was watching the Alamo Bowl, I just had to start wondering why so many teams get basically a home game for their bowl bids. Why not spread the games around to give each team the same advantage. If the fans want to travel that is one thing but don't let a team play in their own back yard.

Still does not make it far to the other team. It would really be nice to see these teams play on a neutral field.

I agree, normally USC plays at home, this year too, and Miami often plays at home as well.
This year Ohio State also plays at home :)
Glendale Arizona, I think they are undefeated in Arizona.

Do we have any pro football teams ?

Jimbo, why the Lions? I know you're a Steeler fan (as I ), but you also have the Browns and the Bungles in your homestate. What I'm saying is that you have options. On the other hand ,the Lions play 2 miles from my house. All Detroiters have the Lion disease. I would thought you live far enough from the fallout zone.

According to my FSN Detroit contact, I am 48 miles from Detroit.
I am 2 1/2 hours from Columbus and 3+ hours from Cleveland and 4 hours from Cincy.

I've been a Detroit fan all my life, and a Steelers fan since 1970.
My Grandfather put the Detroit in my blood and my Dad put the Steelers in my veins.

You are closer to Ann Arbor than you are to Columbus. Why not be a Michigan fan?

Ohio State was also in my Blood when I grew up, I'm not sure how that happened, I've been a Buckeye fan since I've been watching football, late '60's.
I would imaging it may have had something to do with Woody Hayes, I guess.

I'm so sorry Jimbo, I thought you were clear of the fallout zone. This disease (being a Lion's fan) knows no boundaries. At least you're being a Buckeye fan has made it interesting in these forums. In another world and time I may ahve bought you a beer.;)

Here Here Paul,
I will gladly buy you a beer.
I root for my teams, but I don't hold how I feel about anyone according to who they root for.

Jimbo, did you miss the wink? I'd gladly have a beer with you, but why stop at one? It would be at least a 90 minute ride to your house or mine. Maybe someday in Toledo?

You guys have it easy....I have NO EXCUSE in being a Suckland Faiders fan....I thought that decease that travel through the air would dissipate somewhere in Arizona.....
