I bought two 39" round Direcway dishs with no LNB's or feedhorns.
I put one up and now have some stuff from 95W.

What would be a good LNB to use with this dish?
Should I get the orig Feedhorn? Is is a C120 type?

Thanks

First: congratulations! Any 39" round dish (1m) should be great.
These are the two-way models? Stamped steel? (or molded?)
Show us a picture.
You got LNB support arms?
I'd put any standard KU LNB on it, or maybe a QPH-031, but wouldn't worrry about the original feedhorn.
That's more a hassle when you have a non-round dish.

Hey, congrats awesome. This hobby is all about being creative. There's no wrong and no right way to do anything...just some things are more effective than others. Do you know what you're looking for? I would say, if feasible, get a motor and start scanning around...I have the most fun with that. Get tired of what one satellite has to offer? Go to the next one! I have the QPH-031 that Anole recommended...I recommend it myself.

Molded fiberglass with the size code 25709 on the back.
I do have the arms and they heavy

Will take pics later. Battery teck (NiMH) is trash at this time in human history.
Have to charge them up

lookin' good:

I love the molded fiberglass commercial dishes. - :up

Will go out on a limb here, and say maybe it's a Prodelin...?
We could use some pictures from the back side of the dish, and of the mount.
Feel free to shoot in daylight. - :D

edit:
I'm thinking you got the same dish MexSunny showed us.
I'm jealous! :)

Bring them to Metairie, Louisiana. I'll give you directions to my house... ;)

Good find, Ken... They are, as Anole suspected, Prodelins. Member Linuxman has a long thread in which he modified a similar feed mount on a 1.8 meter Prodelin.

Oh, yea. Just like MexSunny's dishes! -
Looks like that all-molded mount skews, too.
While you're dropping one off for Tron, could ya swing by and hit me, too?

Well, it's official: color me green with envy. -
Oh, I -am- green already... never mind! -

That looks like the dish I have sitting in my Garage. Thing is a bit heavy. Need to play with it someday. Have $50 and some time into it.

Thanks.
Long thread is an understatement

Nice dishes. How much does it weigh? You maybe able to us an HH120 to motorize it if you wish. That depends on the total weight of the dish.

product suggestion:

Ya know, Sadoun... it would be nice to be able to offer guys with 1m or 1.2m commercial dishes too heavy for the DG380, an alternative.
The mount 'n jack from the 180 Fortec should be available by itself...
I'm assuming it'd handle a 50 lb dish.

Now as to the guys with the offset 180 Prodelin like Linuxman and other members have, that one is a lot heavier.
Ya might need a mount capable of 100 lbs or so.
One reason I never got one of these dishes, was the problem finding a mount for it... they come as fix-aimed dishes.

And for both, the ability to tilt the dish down to compensate for the built in up-look, would be nice.
A wedge, could be an option.

I figured there was a need for that. I have produced it and it is on the way. It will be here within 4 weeks. I will let you know when it becomes available.
