I have a Directv HR 20 DVR it is silver. It is about 2 years old . I like to get a black DVR the new HR 23. Do you think they would take this one back and $100 for a new one

Why do you want a new one? Just to get a black one? Do you need a second for another TV in your home? if so, they ship you one $99 regardless most likely ...

The HR-22 is the newest version by the way. I don't believe there is an HR-23.
