Just noticed that the one just posted, and the one on the old magazine cover pic I have saved, are both mounted 180 degrees opposite of mine (I put it up the same way I found it). Hmmmm...
Did anything good ever come of this? I believe you and Anole were plotting and scheming...

We did brainstorm the problem this summer.
Phlat came up with an excellent suggestion to make it track/work.
.
Even if it did track, I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense for Ku, nor is it big enough for great C band...?
.
Absent any follow up, I would steer clear of this dish.
The wonderfully stiff H-H mount should probably outfitted with some other dish.
.

I don't have any update, still haven't got around to giving it another go.

Sure would like to find someone that knows the backstory of these oddballs, and/or had installed some.

found this in the archives

Thanks for posting that beavs, never seen that one before.

Some more pictorial evidence showing the feed support on the left side (opposite of the way I found and reinstalled mine). ;)

I'm sure there were other factors but wonder how much the "in excess of $1,000,000" BV invested in researching and developing the Spoon hastened their demise?
