South Louisiana
Anyone looking for a Birdview dish and mount in the south Louisiana area, let me know. Dish is ready to go. I have the H-H mount in my storage building and in 2 weeks it has to be gone one way or another.

Wish I had a way to get that sucker to the house and a place to put it in the yard. I need to do some tree trimming for the KU dish since Gustav made a few limbs sag.

And my 2 - 10 footers got smashed by a tree in May.

Thanks

I'd be tickled to get one, but I'm not able to travel that far right now, still at home taking care of my mom. (who's able to get around with a walker now, still recovering, but not well enough I'd leave her alone here for a trip that far just yet)
Appreciate the thought though!

no soup for you!

Okay, then.
I'll send you a handful of blue-throated Haitian's as a consolation prize.
Not the big Cubans, they're just too darned aggressive!

If you get it to your house, I am sure someone will help you get it up - maybe where the 10 footer was! --- Or I could pick it up from you in January!

OH if I were a BIT closer....LOL....:(
I have a truck now but its only a 6.5 foot bed...and my trailer is only 5X10...and I just don't feel comfortable flying down the interstate with a dish hanging off the edges of ANY vehicle for 350 miles...

Unless I get something figured out for a cradle....SAY LINUXMAN! How did you say you did that?????

luck !

Yea, go for it, Stogie - :up

If Tron shows up to arm-wrestle you for it, just remind him he's got a Paraclipse still waiting to go up!

Hope you document this project from start to finish with your good camera.
Really makes for great reading/viewing.

Lemme tell you boys, you get two Cajuns together no telling what will happen!

I managed to twist my knee up (running from HUGE wasps) so now I am limping around...and managed to step on my skilsaw and break the plastic handle off it..otherwise safe and uneventful trip...got it back home uninjured ( the DISH, anyway)....

Thanks to Brother Swampman for the dish, help, and hospitality. Fellas, Swampman is good people. :up

....and he lives a target-rich enviornment. I counted upwards of 10 BUD's going to his house,at least one of them a Birdview, numerous 1m Primestars...man if I had that close to my house my wife would KILL me. ;)

That sure is a good looking dish and crate.

You did a great job Stogie and Swampman!!!

Glad you got er home and safe. Wasps and objects on the ground are part of the fun. HeHe

They keep you fleet-footed and nimble if you survive.

Now all you got to do is get it operational.

Good show, stogie! :up

I will be making a journey soon to haul home a very similar item, hope my experience turns out as well as yours did........minus the wasps and injuries. ;)

Kudos to Swampman, also! :up

Congratulations Stogie...!!!

You are now the Birdviewman of Slidell.....!!

Glad you two were able to work it out, so the Birdview wasn't lost..... that's fantastic..!

Yeah my knee is a bit better this morning...I can get around a little better...thnks for the well wishes Fellas.

I have NO idea what I am going to actually DO with the dish, unless.....

Say..anybody want a Paraclipse? ;)
I'll make you a good deal on it...:D

. . . a few suggestions . . .

SwampMan - thanks so much for making someone such a nice gift!
There is a slight fee to the reserver for reserving. JK ;)
Not a problem, happy to pay!
Heh, well at least it went to someone who'll appreciate it! - :up
Probably didn't come with enough lizards for TurboSat, anyway! - :D

Maybe send it along with half a crate of dynamite, so he can trim those trees...
... at the roots! -

Hey I was glad to be able to give it a good home. And I must say, it was very enjoyable meeting Keith and his wife Mary. Very nice people. My only regret was in not getting a picture of Keith trying to get away from a very determined wasp! :D Priceless.

I used to live in swampman's area (if I remember his location correctly) for a few years in the late 90's. There were lots of CBand and Primestar's around the area.
