Birds nesting in my C-Band dish

Having the house ringed with security cameras allows me to stay in touch with the outdoors. Watching spring unfold by the minute This morning I see a pair of robins building a nest in one of my C-Band dishes on the AJAK mount. A part that moves with the dish. I really don't care if they nest there but it's probably not a good place for them. One look at 55.5°W and there won't be anything left in that nest I'm thinking. What should I do and how/when should I do it?
I wish it was the other dish. It never moves much and if they were in that one I would just leave it.

I have the same isssue on my Paraclipse. I don't have any solution but so far the birds don't seem to mind. Could be an issue if I need to take the dish down to replace the mesh though.

Move it immediately. Stick a fake owl on top of the mount in place of the nest.

Well I moved it from pointing way west to pointing east. They are studying the situation now

Well shoot, I think they preferred the eastward position. Probably where it was when they started building. Now I know how that piece of material got up there, not on the wind

This is getting real entertaining now. I went outside and had a better look. There is a lot of nest already built, east and west The robins are are hard at it. But they have competition. There are some starlings trying to run them out of there. Claim jumpin' starlings, or would you call them "dish pirates"

Yep birds are very ingenious where and how this build there nests. Here in NM we have tile roofs and the birds build their nests inside the cavities of those tiles...very little room, but it seems to work.

I don't think the birds will be there very much longer. My cats have discovered the activity. While they can't get to the nest, they can come close enough to cause psychological bowel movements.

Speaking of bird nests, I put up a bird house on a tree not far from the house for my Darling Wife. First one she's ever had and she's really gotten into it. I never thought of her being a bird watcher.

I don't have any problems with my dishes but they do like to nest in the top of my 100 gallon propane tank. I look at it every day and when they start to do that I just open the lid on it for a day or so and they move on.

I've had birds nesting between my Hughesnet Internet dish and the mount for several years. Sometimes they leave for the winter and sometimes they stay year round. Must be into the third generation by now.

I guess few cats patrolling the premises works as well as a plastic owl. No robins or starlings.
