Big bad USA vs. tiny island nation

Now, this just fires me up. Your athlete broke the rules, yet you are mad because the US pointed it out (and that is "against the Olympic spirit"). I would think it was in the Olympic spirit to win (medal) within the rules.

Next time DON'T STEP ON THE LANE LINE.

As the Great Dean Wormer would have said when giving the medal count,

"Netherlands Antilles: ZERO, POINT, ZERO"

I ran track in High School and college. The lane violation is very strict and I agree that if they stepped off the lane then they should be DQ'd.

In the name of sportsmanship I made it very clear to my teams that would never protest something like that unless it interferes with our performance. If they beat us by on foot or so outside there lane and beat us then they would have still beat us if they had stayed in.
