[h=4]BHN Easy Gadget App updated for iPhones and now Android![/h]We're pleased to announce the release of an updated version of Easy Gadget for mobile devices. The new version will continue to support iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices, and will now support Android phones as well!

The new Easy Gadget mobile version includes two new features that customers have been asking for since the initial launch of the App!

•Remote DVR Manager – direct access from the Easy Gadget Main Menu (not available in the Detroit Market or parts of the Birmingham Market)

•The ability to delete all calls or multiple selected calls at once in the Recent Call List

The new version of the Easy Gadget Mobile App does not support Android tablets at this time, only the Android phones.

BHN Easy Gadget is currently available to both Bright House Networks’ residential and Business Solutions customers free of charge on the Google Play / Android Market (https://play.google.com/store/apps) and Apple iTunes App Store. Search for “BHN Easy Gadget” or “Bright House Networks”.

I just downloaded the app for android and was very disappointed that you must have phone and internet to use this app. Why am I not allowed to remotely control my 4 HD DVR's unless I pay for their phone service?

This App has always been this way. Easy Gadget was originally designed for our phone customers. We added the DVR functionality with this last revision. If you wish to control your DVR we do have a mobile remote DVR page on our website. Simply navigate to brighthouse.com and the rest is pretty seamless.

Thanks for the quick response. I still think it's a bit odd to exclude people that don't pay for the phone service. Using an app would be a lot easier than using a browser on a phone. It's not a big deal at all to me, but it would be cool to be able to use an app to quickly control my dvr.

But we aren't excluding anyone...they were the target audience for the App to begin with. Remember...this was intended for our phone folks from the start. We added the additional functionality this revision for the DVR. There are alternatives for those who don't have phone service as I described above.

Ok, you're not technically "excluding" anyone that was able to use the app before. I understand that I can use a mobile browser to control my dvr remotely. An app would be infinitely more convenient. Is it really that difficult to let customers that don't pay for phone service login to the app? There are apps for everything now (I'm even posting from the Satellite Guys app now.) I love my BHN service & pay them over $200/month. Once again, not a big deal, just kind of annoying
