BHN Digital in Brevard

Hey there!

Real simple to find out, go here! and pick your city. It will give you a Line up and tell you which are digital and which are analog!

Course, you cannot get the digital signals without the cable card if your tv can take the card, or without having the digital box. (or any of their other boxes)

Now, if you have one of the boxes, If I remember correctly, all channels are being multi-casted. So all channels will be digital with a box or card.

Or you can buy an HDTV with a QAM tuner and pick up "some" of the "unadvertised" digital channels. See the following link for more details on the following quote:
"The availability of QAM HD programming is rarely described or publicized in cable company product literature, as widespread knowledge of its existence could reduce the number of digital cable subscribers."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QAM_tuner

That's why I listed my QAM lineup in another posting so others may do the same. I have not found a site that will tell me what that lineup is. You just have to fumble through the stations and figure it out.

If anyone knows a a quicker way to get this "unadvertised" lineup. Please share.

Not sure that it does show digital. All below 100 were marked B or S. None of them are digital?

(I had the whole table pasted in below, but on save, it erased a lot of it.)

B Basic HDK High Definition Pack
S Standard IC iCONTROL Digital/HD
I Included ICP iCONTROL Premium
E Expanded DID Digital inDemand PPV
DE Digital En Español DM Digital Music
DPP Digital Premier Pack DSP Digital Sports Premium/PPV
DP Digital Premium DSK Digital Sports Pack
DT Digital TV FOD Favorites on Demand
HD High Definition AOD Answers on Demand
HDP High Definition Premium SOD Subscription on Demand

The ones that are marked B and S are those channels for those that do not wish to pay the extra monthly fee for a digital box. Those channels are multi-casted.

Which means, that without the box, they will come in as standard analog channels. With a box, they will come in as digital channels.

So, if one has the SA8300HD (cable box+DVR), when tuned to 1-99, you will be on digital--but if tuning to 1-99 with a non-digital TV set and no box (straight off cable), you will be seeing analog?

that is correct (or any cable box will do digital) thought do know, some channels are still in analog even with he cable box, example i live in south pinellas ,and channels 1 thru 7 are fully analog and i think 2 more channels which i forgot which ones they are lol..why are they still analog i have no idea, but they are channels i do not look at or even care for lol....and of course the 8300hd will have the best picture quality because of its component/hdmi outputs...i have a friend that has the regular cable box (basic, none dvr nothing) and even connected thru s-video it looks horrible, but it ain't the channels, is the quality of the box, also it is very important you get good signals to your house, usually the higher the signal the "better" your experience will be, but having it to hight which is rare will overflow the signal and give you issues with the quality of a channel etc etc..

Go Comcast!! New HD's
