BEV 5800 - Guide and search problems

Lately I seem to be getting an unusual number of "info not available" descriptions on the guide. Also, if I do a search, even for a program that I can see on the guide, the search doesn't find anything.
Unplugging the receiver for approx. 20 or 25 minutes and then plugging it back in solves both problems but is a pain because it's never a convenient time.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems? Is there any other way to force the receiver to download the guide information without unplugging it?

press and hold power button on unit until light goes off, release and let it cycle through. That can download guide
