For the past week my BEV 5100 has been unable to lock on to even-numbered transponders here in Georgia. For a while, it wasn't even getting past the initial transponder check, but then returned to getting a few select stations on odd-numbered transponders. Everything else seems to work ok.
Cables, Lnb and connectors are all fine -- I tested them with a BEV 2700 and got the normal 90-100% signal strength.
Has anyone been able to fix or have someone fix such a problem? I tried resetting to factory defaults, holding the power button for 10 seconds, dusting the innards, reseating the harddrive cable, whistling love songs... All to no avail.
Perhaps I should I just order a 4100 replacement unit at this point. I never liked the noisy hard drive anyway!
