im trying to decide between the silver sensor, which is around $30 on the internet, and the square shooter which is around $100. ill be using the antenna indoors, and i know the square shooter can get VHF. should i get the square shooter, or would i be fine saving my $$$ and getting the silver sensor?

Hard to to tell. How far from the towers are you? When you say indoors, do you mean in the attic? CM 4228 will work as well as a SquareShooter at a little more than the cost of the SS. Post your results from www.antennaweb.org for a better answer.
