Best Option In Duplicating 722K HD Out

I want to mirror a 722K to two different TV's. They are somewhere in the neighborhood of 75-100 ' apart.

Could a component run go that far? Would an HDMI splitter cause HDCP issues?

I want to run whatever solution through the attic and into a wall mounted TV.

I would think that a component run would go that far just fine as long as you don't split it. That's a ton of cable though.

I'm not sure how HDMI splitters handle HDCP, but I don't think you currently need it for anything other than 1080p VOD. I think they're talking about expanding it to PPV also, but I don't play either of those games. The regular premium channels, I'm not sure about.

I can make the receiver local to one tv without a splitter, I suppose. If I did that, should I use the short run for component and the long for hdmi or vice versa?

I use a CE labs video amp (av400comp) for my component out. You can pick one up on ebay. It has one input and 4 outputs. The video quality is excellent. I use my dvr to feed 4 tv's with it. I use standard rg6 cable (5 of them) to each of the runs. 1 for red, 1 for green, 1 for blue, and 2 for left and right audio. Then I used rca crimps to each end of the rca cable. I have done 1 hdmi with a 130 ft run and it does work, but sometimes it gets pixillated. In my opinion componenet with rg6 is the way to go on long runs. The rg6 has an excellent shield from a.c. and other stray signals.
