I would like to know if I need to buy a dish that has a skew adjustment on it .
I want a dish for Ku sats like G10 @123 W .
I have a Pansat 3500sd .
I have read that you should locate your sats without the motor before you install the motor ..You need a skew to locate sats from what i have read so far ..
The sat shop sales staff says that the dish that he suggests is the Winegard 33" made in USA + Invacom + SG2100 .
The 33" dish that he recomends does not have skew adjustment ..
I just want to make sure that I am getting the correct dish the first time .
If the 33" dish does not need a skew then please tell me what i am missing about locating sats ..
Thanks to all !

If you are using a motor the dish skews its self anyway! Just like my avatar!

Winegard is one of the BEST dish manufacturers out there :)

Even with a fixed dish its easy enough to skew the LNBF!

PSB is right. The motor will take care of the skew. (Except for his motor is upside down :D )

If you decide to try things manually first, you don't have to skew the dish, just the LNBF.

You do not HAVE to locate sats manually without a motor first. However, it will give you some idea of where they are located. G10R is one of the more tough ones to pick up manually.

As others have said, a skewable dish is required only if

- you have more than one LNBF in a row across the dish
- you don't have a motor
- your existing LNBF doesn't have the adjustment
