I really am ignorant when it comes to the new game systems. What do you need 80GB for? Does it store that much of the game on the hard drive.
As far as games go, our house is still on the PS2 and Nintendo DS.
I'm not sure how it relates to gaming, I used mine for mp3 playback. You can load the hdd up with music and play it thru your rcvr(also pics and video). It also may have OTA dvr capabilities coming.
The PS3 manual also shows you how to easily swap the drive for a larger one

When Playtv comes to the PS3 i will upgrade to at very least a 500 GB. Playtv will allow you to record two HD channels at the same time! Then you can stream them to other TV's in the house!:Thanks. That makes sense. I can see why 80GB might be overkill.

WOW i though it was a 750gig limit! I was way off!Yeah, its a 2.5" drive, 200gig max right now. Not sure if its eSATA.

Yea me too!:upI thought the limit was around 500GB, I guess I need to go research on google to find an accurate answer.
