Ok Bell guys/gals....here's the new format I'm kicking around. I'm reworking the uplink report tool to also include spotbeam descriptions to help users read the changes on the DishNetwork spotbeams. What does this have to do with Bell ExpressVu? A lot! I've designed the uplink tool to accommodate multiple providers, so Bell ExpressVu's reports will benefit from this also. But wait...Bell doesn't have spotbeams! What does this have to do with Bell ExpressVu? I told you already..a lot! We all know from this forum that due to the shifting of the BellExpressVU's owned/leased birds has caused some TP's to be lost in California and Florida. I'd like to ask for help from these users to determine which TP's are missing and designate these as so on the uplink reports. The description will also reflect on the PDF listings too.

I have every TP described as Canada/US beam right now but this will soon change from you guys/gals feedback. Here's a snapshot of what the new report will look like:

The SatelliteGuys.US Uplink Activity Report - 11/01/2006 - 4 changes

299 - TMNFP removed from Nimiq1/4 91W TP 06 Canada/US beam

797 - ITV8 removed from Nimiq2/3 82W TP 20 Canada/US beam

Channels in the system: 808

(NA) = Not Available

and last but not least....you'll find the new PDF files sorted by channel number and one sorted by bird then transponder number. Enjoy!

Very interesting. The TPs that the Southeast and Southwest US no longer receive on 82w are the same TPs that now have a level 100 signal at my vacation home in West Virginia outside of Pittsburgh, PA (about 350km from the US/Canada border). Those TPs didn't even suffer rain fade during severe rain last week while all others from 82w and all TPs from 91w did.

Not really spotbeams, just the ConUS beam shifted north.

Imagine a globe on the ground. Stand a few feet away from the globe. Now shine it on the US. Position yourself where all of the US is lit up with some of Canada. Now shift your flashlight where Canada is the primary. You'll notice the SW and SE US aren't lit up as well.
