probably not.... on the preview it doesnt say anything about it being HD like the other HD channels.
If you are interested in this channel, and it does have a Free Preview, then the best way to get it in HD is to tune to the free preview OFTEN. Evidently, Dish can track how many times customers tune to a channel, and makes decisions based on that data. I often have a "default" channel that I tune to when nothing is going on, in the past it was Food Network, and then when they started stretching I changed to Weather, and more recently NASA. So, tune to BeIn if you want it to stay - that is probably even better than a "request".
The 4/16 Free Preview date indicates that DirecTV received a "first launch". Often Dish has made available channels just after the end of the business day as "counting as the next day", so it might happen at 5:01pm Mountain Time (otherwise at midnight).
That is not the case, a channel is is never officially available until the day after they are made available on the uplink.

So I wonder if Dish leaking info that it wasn't happening was a way to soften the blow of not being in HD. If so...clever, clever. Last night I was totally prepared to complain about it not being HD, and after today I'm just happy to have it at all for now (if it still happens).

Added BEIN to the Dish Latino Channel Numbers, which indicates that it will be on Dish for the long term. Still "not available", so they won't make it available until midnight, to respect the DirecTV "first launch rights".

To be clear, does this really mean that we ARE getting the channel? Or could this just be more misleading crap?
Good fact: It's listed on the ch. 103 preview slate
Bad fact: It's not listed on the preview web page (which is easier to change if they decided at the last second to dump it)
Good fact: It didn't disappear in the latest uplink report
Good fact: In fact another ch. # was added, so now it's listed right next to FSC and right next to UDEP. No reason to add that 2nd channel today if they've decided to dump it.
Maybe they just played a little hardball this morning and held out for a little extra $$$$$ at the last second by making noise that they weren't interested?

I was really hoping that they would. Is it realistic to think that the "free preview period" may be used to test the ratings (i.e., can they add HD feed if they see "good" numbers)?
