BD now cheaper then HD-DVD?

Isn't that just for the Departed? It says something to the effect it's because of the HD DVD/combo pricing. Nice job bending the article for your proproganda.

Interesting that it is claiming there is almost 2 million HD DVD players sold.

Anybody else supporting that 2 million HD-DVD figure?

Last I heard, certainly outdated, was well below a million.

yeah that doesnt make sence or how about this "just under two million PS3s have been sold in the territory since launch last November, which means roughly the same number of HD-DVD and Blu-Ray players are installed in US homes. " that would mean that doesnt seem right that if you includ ps3 and standalone blu-ray players there should be alot more in homes over hd dvd.

from what Ive seen, the titles in common are about 4 dollars cheaper on BD. HD DVD has cut its own throat I hate to say it. And when it comes to combos they have really committed suicide IMO. Stupidest move yet IMO.

Actually, I believe the territory includes Canada. Someone else will correct me if I am wrong. And the HD-DVD numbers are closer to 225,000 to 250,000 players - and that includes the XBOX360 HD-DVD drive. It is IGN that is reporting that there have been 2 million PS3s sold. I will try to find the article.

And since I did not write the article there is nothing for me to bend -- thank-you!

Okay 470,000 to 2 million plus -- hummmm --- which number is bigger?;)

Blu-ray is outselling HD-DVD titles by 2 to 1. BD has outsold HD-DVD since right after Christmas. There are roughly 4 times the number of devices that can play Blu-ray as HD-DVD. The only site I've seen saying HD-DVD is outselling BD was a site that reported only it's own sales, and at a time when most of it's Blu-ray customers probably went to Amazon to buy, since there's a big Blu-ray sale on there. There are many posts here, with links, to the format war ongoing results.
