With all that is happening in the UK today regarding the terrorist aircraft plot I thought I flip on BBC America with the hope of getting another view of what was going on. Instead they are running the 2000th repeat of Changing Rooms. Come on. We should be getting BBC World 24/7. Or someone should have the ability to dump out of regular programming to cover something of this import. I feel short changed getting only the US view.

Agreed -- I was happy that FNC ran Sky News coverage during the overnight hours, but I would much prefer full fledged international coverage from BBC World, as well as Sky News and CNN International...

I called Customer Retention this afternoon and asked specifically about BBC World, Sky News and CNN International. The young lady who answered was very patient and listened to my complaint (yes, I framed it as such - there is no reason, given the state of world news, that we don't have a true, full-time international news channel). She entered a note in to management (asking me a few questions to make sure that they didn't already have an answer to my dilemma in the raft of international channels), and suggested that more calls like that would force management to listen.

My suggestion: go ahead and call retention, but be polite about it. They'll happily listen...
