Banned from DBSTalk.

I have been banned from DBS Talk for stating my opinions about their new design and such.

As a result I am going to visit this forum instead and I now publicly denounce DBS Talk.

Hopefully I can have some great discussions here as I did on DBS Talk (1000+ posts)

Futhermore I almost never go to dbstalks. Figuring fewer hits is less money for the new owner.

I just hope that if Scott EVER tires of this he asks at least the gold members before selling the place out from under them.

Wow welcome mike.. Scotts a good guy and I dont think he would ever do that. Welcome to satguys as you wont be missing much "over their" anyhow as we have a tendancy to break things here first 99.9% of the time.. I recommend becoming a pub member if you can spare the 20 bucks as before I became a mod, I thought It was well worth it... A lot of good guys are in the pub fourm and alot of the new news AKA Rumers are posted there first. But any how Welcome to your new home! and were glad to have you. BTW We dont censer here!

I wouldnt say that, we do edit or remove posts usually for legal reasons (such as talking about hacking) or for spamming. But other then that we are really open.

We are not affraid of people making negative (or positive) commants about any satellite company or the software. You wont see us closing or deleting threads just because someone called a companies software release junk. We feel that it is best for consumers to know everything about a product before making their final decission.

Trust me, the majority of the staff here, I think, has also been banned from DBSTalk for stupid reasons.

We believe in the first amendment here, so feel free to post your opinions about satellite. All that we ask is that you don't talk about hacking, or flame other members. Our forum rules here are very user friendly.

Someone mentioned it, so let me ask. Scott if someone came to you and tried to buy the site, for a ridiculous amount of money even, would you do it? Would you discuss it with us first, etc...

Not that you would have to, but it would be nice if we knew you were selling the site before we came and saw "Chef Boyardee's Satelliteguys.us!!" on the page...

I would definately mention it, and I would also make a few requirements part of the deal including the Supporting Founders continue to get lifetime access to all premium features of the forum.

This was something that was promised by the other site and now all of their supporters are getting short changed as they are being told their lifetime membership expires at the end of 2006.
