Band B for UHF 6.3 remote with 622?

I'm having some trouble with distance of my 6.3 UHF Pro remotes to our 622 DVR. I'm seeing references on the internet that Band B would give us better distance and should be possible with the 622, however I can't seem to get it to work. Is it possible to use that combination? If so, can someone give me some direction on getting this setup to work?

The 622 does support band B with remotes. There will be a switch next to the batteries, flip it to the B side.

Press system info on the front of the receiver
Press SAT on the remote
Press record a few times

You should see the remote address change to Band B

No downsides, it's just slightly different than band A
