Auto bill pay stopped by DTV?

My bills have been auto paid for the past 6 months. I just recently got an email that stated along the lines that if I don't enroll in auto bill pay my free HD will not be free.
I went to their website and sure enough, my auto bill pay was no longer set up.

What kind of crap is this? What if I didn't see that email? Why was the auto pay dropped? Seems kinda sneaky.
 
Why don't you call and ask them? One possibility is that maybe your credit card on file has an expired date and the computer just picked that up and canceled autopay. I've had that happen to me with other companies. My card is about to expire, the bank sends me the new one but the company doesn't get the updated information. If that's not your case then it's probably just another computer glitch of some kind.
 
The hold time isn't worth the call. Oh well I'll just take this as a computer glitch, my CC doesn't expire for another 2 years.
Just thought someone might have had some insight.
