I do not think you are alone on your assessment. It just looks like they want to fail and they are making easy to do.

Just like the original VOOM sight this sight is out-of-date. When you press coming soon, you get movies for June and July. Wow!!! Why would a company as large as Cablevision nt have the pride to at least keep the websites up-to-date...sad...Sean Mota said:The Monsters HD website was updated but nothing new there... http://www.monstershd.com/
Walter, what is the email address you sent it too. I think we should also email ceo@echostar.com and voice our disappointment with VOOM.Walter L. said:As I mentioned before, last week I emailed them complaining about the lack of new content on the non-movie channels and still nothing back, not even an automated response
Walter L. said:Sean, I think you're correct (about trying to fail). If I remember correctly, there was an exit clause on the "deal" and it had to do with the amount of content.
With the past history of poor service, lack of h/w quality and of course going under I doubt that anyone would every sign up with them again. I seriously doubt they could ever be a DBS company again.hbk409 said:i dont know just how past being viable they are if they were to restart, start correctly without all of the past issues. have a good channel line up that includes the popular channels like hgtv, lifetime, rsn's, etc. if they were to come back start with networked dvrs. and have those 70+ channels of hd they should have had by now if they continued being a service provider. Also the fcc has not yet approved the sale, maybe they are waiting to see if another provider will come along to be a 3rd major dbs provider.

True, but I think having a 3rd DBS provider will be a hard sell. Charles brought his friend over from Europe to be on the board and convince everyone they could be a 3rd DBS provider, but he said it would not work. With cable now carrying more HD, FIOS, D* and E* I am not sure if even a name change would work.hbk409 said:you change the name of the company look primestar failed, out came direct tv, how many times has voice stream changed there names because they were bankrupt??btw now they are t-mobile. and if they full test the system before they start selling it they have a chance
