Audio problem from Traxis 2500

First complain from customer on this receiver which sold to him month ago. The audio is getting weak, last check two weeks ago was that the audio has very strong base back ground and not as clear as first in use.

THis could be a small problem which may just open and fix, but since this is a kind of new model receiver, do you think send it back for repair so the distributor can eleminated the problem for future ?
 
If you open it up the warranty is null and void, I would send it back for 1st class service, I would also try all the audio channels, but I am sure you done that, last resort a factory default?
