For almost two years, I have seen a brief audio dropout on premium movie channels on D. HBO, encore, etc.
Changed receivers. Still there.
Using a Directivo and recording the program, the audio dropout is recorded, so I know it is not a cable or receiver problem.
Is this some bizarre scheme to prevent decent-quality recordings, or is there another explanation? Doesn't happen with OTA or non-premium channels.
