I need to move my 5 LNB off my balcony rail on to a tripod or a pole mounted in a bucket of concrete.

The problem is I cannot locate a 2" OD pipe (needs to be EXACTLY 2") or a tripod to suit the 5LNB.

DTV now use a bigger pole for the 5LNB that is non-standard.

Anyone have any advice.

M

PS: Anyone had any success hand-aligning a 5LNB ?

You can get 2" pipe from a plumbing supply or lawn irrigation company. Some Home Depot and Lowes carry pipe. Get sch40 galvanized steel.

Other way is get a 2 3/8" OD(3") pipe and get a WildBlue pole cap adapter.

Hey mhyne, I have the same issue. Someone advised me to use this pipe adapter on the link below:

I wanted to put the AT9 where I have the SC dish mounted now. There was a Dish 500 with the smaller mast - which is where I was attempting to use the above adapter.

I have the AT9 on the NPR temporarily at this point until I decide what to do with it.
