Great find. I wonder how AT&T will work with current ISPs regarding the consequent bandwidth issues?

Also, will AT&T remove data caps on mobile devices for video content?

It does make one wonder if this is ATT's "toe dipping" for the future of where they see TV.

Elimination of STB's, at least in the traditional sense, with cloud-based DVR that can be accessed remotely by any device.

As much money as they make on receiver fees, though, it makes you wonder what the end game is.

Just for fun I tried the free trial of Sling Tv and I HATED it. I thought it was horrible. I hope when DIRECTV makes their service it is better than Dish's attempt.

My imperatives for a streaming service, in this order:

1. Price well below what I pay for cable
2. All channels I watch frequently, including locals (with sub-channels), sports and premiums
3. DVR capability on all channels
4. Picture quality at least comparable to the satco or cableco I'm considering replacing
