Aspire HD is live on ch 381

Since nobody else has posted in this forum (where it really matters) Aspire HD (only) is live on ch 381.

While I'm assuming Aspire does (now) has an actual HD feed, (& D* isn't doing an "HD upconversion" a la E*

) & while it's coming in as a proper full HD screen, the picture quality doesn't look like anything to brag about. It's a college football game, so maybe it's due to it's source...

Does it require a particular package ?

You must have the Ultimate or Premiere package.

But you also have a SWM 5 dish, I'm on a SWM 3.
I'm presuming that's the difference.

Aspire HD is on 99CB t 1, so that's not why you aren't getting it Jimbo. I have Choice Xtra Classic and I'm not getting it either. It isn't listed in the package channel lineups yet, so I can't tell who is supposed to receive it.

I have the same package you do then.

Why was I presuming that it was on the 119 ?

edit:
Just a quick check, 99 sat, tr 1, I currently show at 96%.

I'm not sure if I should get that channel or not.

Unfortunately ASPiRE is not available in your area on DIRECTV.

You can send DIRECTV an email or if you have a Twitter account, you can tweet DIRECTV requesting that they add ASPiRE to your channel lineup.




The good news is, ASPiRE is available from these providers:
Time Warner Cable Channel 228

I got the same notice. It seems odd that it's geographically based since it's not an rsn.

When I googled Aspire on D*, there was discussion back in 2012 about it coming to D* on channel 338, but thats the UP channel at the moment.

I have found nothing that says that the Aspire channel is on D*.

According to Wikipedia (so.. Yeah) it was added on November 6th.

I have the regular Xtra package (not grandfathered classic) and it is viewable on 381 for me.

No idea what programming is on it, but it does come in. Now back to football.

It's definitely not on 119, I have a SWM3 LNB and it is tunable here. Still no idea what is on it but I get it.

I've got a SWM 3 as well...
On 381 I get the "To Add this channel, Text Upgrade or Call"

I just had a conversation with the D* Chat people and they swear that you guys are not watching the Aspire channel ....

I told her that I know a lot of people that are currently watching it and she still wouldn't believe me.

I simply asked her what package it was in.

What a wonderful arrangement!

If ASPiRE was a deal-breaker for me, I could drop AT&T’s DirecTV and go to Comcast where this wouldn’t be a problem.

Maybe the Pac-12 Network deal, which fell through, was not entirely the Pac-12 Networks’ fault.
