Anyone know if there was ever a firmware update to remove the preset Globestar World TV/Radio channels from the receiver? It won't let me delete them. Gives me a not allowed message.
I picked it up cheap from a thrift store, still had the access card, but of course that's useless since they went out of business, but the receiver complains if I remove it, so I just left it in there.
What I like is that it has a FTA option to add additional channels and satellites. Works great on Galaxy 19, and can even change the LNB type, doesn't do DVB-S2, but it's OK for my needs at the moment, using it mainly for satellite radio. Another reason I was wondering if there was firmware that fixed that too, so that it's only FTA.
The DiSEqC options are a little different than I'm used to, but at least it will allow multiple satellites, but didn't see an option for DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS, so I'm guessing motorized is out of the question unless I use a separate controller box.
Not a big deal, but would like to clean it up a bit if possible.
