I have both a RCA DVR and a standard receiver. They both have that annoying option where you have to input 4 digits to change the channel. Example: to get to channel 331 you have to type in 0331 to get to local channel like 10 you have to input 0010. Is there anyway to turn this feature off so that it's the standrd 3 digits? I don't really understand why it's like that to begin with.

Thanks!

How about hitting 10 and enter.

That is an option for the DVR. My main issue is with the older box in my bedroom. I have a brand new JVC tv and it doesn't have a enter button the DirecTV box responds to and since my Great Dane puppies ate my RCA remote I only have it to control the box. If I could switch that option off I wouldn't have to waste money buying another remote which I won't need come christmas time when I get my HD DVR box. :D

CBS HD East Blank screen

Is signal strength "relative" depending on which STB you have?
