Anyone using a PCI / USB Pc device for satellite Internet?

My sister live in the middle of nowhere and is looking for a high speed Internet solution. High speed being faster than dialup . I see that both the PC card and the USB boxes offer Internet connectivity options. Where can I look at pricing options for that?

I know there is Wild Blue / DirecWay but these $50 PCI / USB devices say they do Satellite internet. Do you subscribe to these services with one of these cards?

They are capable of doing Internet - but you will still need a service provider. As far as I konw - there are providers in Europe that allow you to buy your own hardware. But in the US I think you are stuck with DirecWay...
