Anyone use a "Horn" antenna for Ku?

VERY Interesting thanks for posting. I messed about with a home made Horn I made from an oil can in the 80's

May have to look into it again!

The horn would need to be incredibly long for a beam width less than 2 degrees (can't imagine a 1 degree BW horn).

From J.D. Kraus, Antenna Book. For 6 deg. Beamwidth; horn length would be 70 wavelengths and Flare Angle would be 15 degrees.

It's hard to interpolate from his graph, but 4 degrees would be about 170 wavelengths and a 13 degree flare angle.

That is about what I get too for 170 wave lenghts at .88"
