i have wildblue through dish. has anyone upgraded to the the new 10gb service yet? is their any benefit to the $199 upgrade fee that new customers get for free? is the bonus 10 gb local time or eastern time? is it worth the additional $10 /month modem fee?

Are you referring to upgrading to the 10GB HN Gen4 service from WB? Not sure why you would pay a $199 "upgrade fee" if you're moving from WB to HN.
The bonus Bytes hours are set for 2 AM to 8 AM for your local time zone, wherever it is.
We've installed Gen4 for about 30 clients so far, many whom were WB customers. They're thrilled.
