Prices pretty good this week. Got my eye on a 65" Sony 900 for $1500. Anyone know why the 930 65" weighs nearly 40 pounds more???

No idea on the weight, but I ended up with a 930E that was delivered just this last Saturday. VERY happy with it. The plus to the 930 vs 900 was side by side the 930 was significantly brighter and was included in the firmware adding Dolby Vision.

I'm still waiting to see if the LG 55" B7 OLED dropped back to the $1,499 price from Black Friday but it looks like that won't happen until the 2018 series sets come out.

Not shopping for the SB, but looking for a new set. Have my eye on the Sony 75 900E. Lowest I've seen it is $2500. ( Jumped back up to $2800 this week ) Hoping it goes lower next month.
Briefly looked at the Samsung 75MU9000. I can get I for $2K thru Perks at work. But the 900E still beats it, looking at all the reviews. My fallback is the Vizio M70-E3, if the prices on the 75s don't drop next month.

I see that the 2018 XBR 900F sets are showing up for pre-order. One advantage to the 900F is LED full-array zoned backlighting compared to the 930E's edge-lit backlighting. I'm wondering what the difference in peak brightness is? It looks like the X1 Extreme chip from the 930E is used in this year's 900F. Tempting...
