Anyone got experience with the LG 70 series LCDs

I'm looking to add an HDTV in the bedroom and have been looking at LCD's. I've seen some good things about the LG 70 series, but haven't really heard anything concrete from any person. Specifically, I looking at the 47" model (47LG70).

Anyone have experience with one of these? How does it perform? How well does it handle SD, since we can't get entirely away from it yet?
