Anyone anxious to see SuitSat launched?

Don't know if anyone been following the story of SuitSat which is a "satellite" inside of a old surplus russian spacesuit due to be manually launched from the Space Station. Ck out www.arrl.org or www.amsat.org for more info.

Should be definately interesting to hear it.

I'm interested in SEEING SuitSat on the air! Back when MIR was still floating around Earth, they transmitted SSTV for awhile, and it was really neat seeing live images from the space station. Most of the time it was shots out the window, but sometimes the crew would play with the camera and make funny poses to unsuspecting amateurs receiving them on the ground. It will be interesting to see what kind of images SuitSat will have for us to look at. Unfortunately, Suitsat's release has been delayed until at least February so we'll have to wait until then to find out.

SuitSat Readies for Operation on 145.990 MHz Updated

Now is the time to begin preparing your amateur radio station to receive signals from SuitSat, the most unusual Amateur Radio satellite ever orbited. SuitSat amateur radio equipment will be installed inside a surplus Russian Orlan spacesuit. It will become an independently orbiting satellite once it is deployed by the crew of the International Space Station during an extravehicular activity, tentatively planned for February 2nd, 2006.
