anybody ever purchased a Quali-TV from Europe?

When I search for Qualit-TV HD receiver on eBay, most of the hits are in Europe. Anyone ever purchased one from Europe and had it shipped? It appears a lot of these units end up getting shipped to the States as most of the sellers will ship to the US.

Yes, was only about $400 NIB too.

Yes, from Belgium. Bought it on the 2nd of January, it came on the 22nd. Had to do Western Union money transfer online. It cost about $375 American money. I threw in some extra bucks for shipping. Receiver was brand new. I had to go to Radio Shack and buy an American plug for it. I got 2 sets of RCA cables with it. The main issue I had was the time switch of 9 hours and it was a kid or young adult living with his parents that had it. Communication e-mails happened about once every 3 days.

Thanks for the quick replies. After seeing all the available sports wildfeeds in 4:2:2 I'm thinking about springing for one of them. The only problem is a lot of the auctions are german only, never quite sure what I'd be getting.

Do these units do blind scan as well?

Nope! That's probably it's biggest drawback, but it's not the only one. It's quirky in an aggravating way, sometimes you want to shoot it. But when it works (and it usually works right), you can't beat it, and just love it to death.
