Any time frame on Panny's 2010 Players?

Decided after reading, and past history, this is the one I want (like Nflix and Amazon). Should have it on Monday or so.

Yeap. 65 and 85 are out. Waiting on the 350. Might give the 3D a try with the V25 coming out this summer since I need (want) a new TV downstairs anyways. With dual outs won't need to replace my processor.

Well, that place canceled my order because they "underestimated demand" (had 15 in stock when i rodered), so I reordered from another. Should be Wed or so now.

I love my BD60, but the BD65 is supposed to look even better. And much faster if that matters to you. I hope Sams' starts selling it.

I imagine B&M stores will have them soon. I'm unsure whether the uniphier improvements are all DVD, or BR too, but the load time is what intrigues me. I loved my BD35, and plan on comparing loading times with a few discs.

Here are some pics. Gonna install it and recalibrate the tv shortly to make sure there is no difference between the 320 and this BD85. Will then do some speed tests.

Haha. Took about 15 minutes to wire it up, get online wirelessly and start watching a movie on Nflix. PQ of Matrix was really good. I have full wireless bars with the dongle, at about 50ft and a wall from the router. Menu's are REAL fast.

Speed report

BD35--BD85 (in seconds)

Time from OFF to tray open, by pressing open button when unit is off:

21--3

Time to get to where you can select PLAY in final menu, starting with tray open:

Transformers 82--75

2012 131--114

Iron Man 101--87

Starts up 18 seconds quicker

7 seconds faster on movie without bd live request

Other two had bdlive, and there was a larger gap, so it loads net enabled discs 15 or so seconds faster

Avg of 25-30 seconds gained between 35 and 85, is my guestimation.

When you are watching a flick, or at the main menu and hit open, the 85 releases the disc much faster than the 35 (several seconds)

The BD85 is less sluggish moving thru disc menus, when compared to the 35 and 320. When I was jumping around last night on the AVS709 disc calibrating the tv, it definitely moves faster.
