Are there any options for new customers besides DHA and buying everything completly outright with no price breaks?

DHA HD-DVR $250 + $10 a month and then you don't own it at the end of the commitment! NO WAY!

DISH Notwerk also offers FFA you pay retail for the receivers and they give you a $5/Mo. rebate till you get $150 on a single receiver system or $200 on a 2 receiver system. Really a non promotion but the only other offer they have to leasing.

Why would anyone buy NOW, with Mpeg4 on the near horizon.

You can lease and not pay a lease fee, that's the way to go.
