I was going through the box that came with my fortec dish and found this odd little black circular piece. Is this something that should be on my dish; because right now it's not.

It's kinda hard to tell the size of the thing from the picture. Is that the adapter that goes in the LNB holder for smaller necked LNB's?

It's about 1-1/2" in diameter and about 1" in depth. Do I need this thing?

That is used to allow you to mount LNBF that has a 25mm neck using a standard 40mm holder.

well the LNBF i got fit really snugly w/o that so i guess i didn't need it.

Yeah, when I got my fortec dish, I didn't use it either.

There wasn't enough room with the LNB, so now the place holder is in a box in my basement.

The place holder is for some oddball LNB's....or if you gut one
