Animal Planet GO, etc, not offered for DISH?!

There are just times that it is easier to watch on Fox News Go or Animal Planet Go than to watch on DishAnywhere. Charlie is being petty because there is no real cost to let Dish Subscribers have access to FNC Go or A.P. Go.

Would people leave Dish over it, no I don't think so. Will people leave Dish because it doesn't have BBC World News? I don't think so. But these things add up and one day there will be the final straw that breaks the camel's back.

So you're saying you have inside information that there is not a higher fee to carry the channels with their GO app? Impressive. Can you post where you got that info?

So you don't know that it costs extra or not? It really doesn't matter what others have, as Dish has things that others do not have... such as Sling Media, and a 16 tuner, Netflix capable, 2tb harddrive receiver, to start. Your argument is built on cards.

We do not know if it costs more in the contract or if there are other costs involved but I'm betting it does or there is some cost otherwise DISH would indeed simply participate in all of them instead of some of them. In fact that's where the argument falls apart because there are some GO streaming services not available on other providers, what's their reason? Few if any of the providers participate in all of them. Wanting them is of course understandable if you really would use it, but it is hyperbole to equate not having some to it being an armageddon. (Between this thread and the others)

Cost to the networks or not, given the typical negotiations between the content providers and Dish, I highly doubt they are giving Dish access to any offerings (VOD, Apps, Etc.) for free out of the goodness of their hearts.

Fox isn't giving it away for free, you have to watch their ads (and there are many) and they do not share any of that ad time and revenue with Dish. It is pure gravy for them.

Source that Dish wouldn't be charged anything more? You still haven't answered that, yet made the definitive claim.

When 99 percent of the other cable sat companies offer the service and Dish does not, you can draw your own conclusions.

Dish recently had a disastrous carriage dispute with FNC and FBN. If Dish really cared about adding FNC Go, they would have insisted on including that service for its customers.

So again, your definitive "facts" are nothing more than conjecture. And then you furthered your "facts" by saying it's so Charlie does not lose ad revenue on DA. You have only made opinions, and have zero support. As pointed out, Charlie likes saving money, so if it was truly no cost, he'd be all over that. Look at the channels that do have a GO. HBO, Max, Showtime, WatchESPN. What do they all have in common... with the prices they charge, they can roll the GO service into the deal without raising the cost. Now, with so much from HBO and Showtime on DA, why would Charlie offer those GO's and lose the ad revenue from DA? Again, your entire argument is built on cards. And comparing what others have, is not an argument at all. The cost difference has been made by Tampa on many occasions, and proves that dish is the cheapest option. Cable has a slight advantage if you get phone and Internet, as the profit off internet is soooo much higher than off tv services, per account.

Or they might have used FNC Go as a concession against other negotiation demands. No one knows. And this bickering is pointless.
