What is the difference between the RE and the SE. For some reason the Amiko website does not list the RE
Also can I use the SE firmware in the RE?

I don't know how I missed this the other day.
What is more confusing is there is two different SE versions. There is the older one that I sold a few years ago, that got disco'd.
Then so many people wanted it back they brought it back in the new RE and SE versions.
The chip was different so firmware doesn't work between the two.
The difference in the newer SE and RE is the SE stands for SCART Edition.
The RE stands for RCA Edition.

So the newer SE and the RE now have the same chip and firmware?

Yes same chip. Firmware is set to work in one and not the other and vise versa.

Also remember, just because they use the same version number, this does not equal same firmware.
