On my old BEC DBS-1000 Receiver I could get the Montana PBS on AMC3 but it was spotty on cloudy/rainy nights. I have upgraded since to a Fortec Ultra Lifetime and have had no luck in getting it with this receiver.

I have played with the skew on my LNB with no success, I can't get the quality high enough. Is there any tricks or suggestions anyone has?

I think that if I don't get it by this weekend I will being the Spectrum Analyzer home from work and try to maximize my Polarization setting.

I need to be able to watch Red Green by saturday night.

Did you try a Power Scan on the Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra?

Popping up here at....

12162MHz
H
4.340Msps

60% Quality Scans in as TV2

I had 12164 and just tried 12162 quickly and no luck.

I did do a power scan and have repeatldy got nothing but thanks for the suggestion.

Another funny side thing is that I couldn't get Fox News on my old Rx but now I can with the Fortec, the Montana PBS went the other way however.

sometimes its a bugger to bring it in. I have "Patient Channel" logged on the same satellite and I have to flip to that and then back to Montana PBS to get it to work :(

The Montana signal on AMC-3 is much weaker than most others.
Unless you have at least a 36 inch antenna, I would not bother;
larger would be better. It seems to be greatly affected by weather,
so unless you have clear skies, it will be a constant battle to keep
running when using a marginally sized antenna.
