I'm trying in vain to find AMC21.........yes, it's "gettable" from here.
I've tried all the freqs listed in the AMC21 thread to no avail.

The receiver is a Coolsat 5000 if that helps.

I found 121 and a couple others that scan all scrambled channels so I have no idea what they are.

whats posted in the AMC21 thread is all that is active

otherwise find 123W and move it ever so slightly west until signal gone...then you be on 125 :)

Thanks Ice.........yup, tried that....just wanted to double check on the freqs.....I know that 2 degrees is not much but........GRRRR
I've never had so much trouble finding a satellite. Especially one so new.......and powerful.

Well back outside I go!

Well I got back out there just in time to watch the TV turn off 'cause the battery box ran out of juice. Two hours isn't bad I guess for a portable unit that has a built in compressor and inverter with two 120V AC outlets. That was running a 13" color TV and the Coolsat 5000. Might have to get some reserve capacity if I want to use it in an ice fishing shack this winter.

So I was unsuccessful in my attempt to get AMC21 so far. When I got back in I scanned whatever satellite I had into the Pansat and got 3 channels all scrambled, 11325H 13.2SR, Vpids at 1160, 1260 and 1360 which doesn't correspond with any data I can find on Lyngsat anywhere around AMC21.........strange. Something just doesn't seem right with those numbers.

Edit, it scanned them once on 11325 and once on 11900........perhaps my LNB settings are not correct. Although on the Pansat I selected Stacked LNB which it is.

the vertical stuff should come in just fine at the normal frequencies.

Try and set the LNB for JUST 10750...forget the stacked thing for now..verticals will come in fine on 10750

off topic:

Say what? -
You take your TV and FTA dish ice fishing?
Man, that I gotta see! Please post some pictures come winter! - :up
The dish on the shack would be worth a thousand laughs! - :D

Actually that's quite common around here. I should take a picture of the "ice towns" that appear all over frozen lakes in the winter. There are dozens in some areas. Many of which are comprised of specially built trailers that have crank up wheels to put your shack right on the ice. Some guys even sleep/cook etc. in theirs. I'm thinking of building a more portable version but I'd still like the amenities. I don't know if I'd do FTA on the ice but Bell would be a bit easier to setup.

Oh and further to the above conversation I got AMC21 locked in this evening. I don't know what my problem was last night but even knowing the proper freqs I couldn't get a good lock without some playing. I'm getting most x-ponders with around 74% quality. A nice improvement over AMC3 which had marginal signal at best for me.

I'm still having issues with my single stacked LNB. Even with the Pansat set to "single stacked", it finds all the available transponders (horiz and vert.) on the horizontal scan (when blind scanning) then duplicates them when it scans the vertical. I've just been stopping it after it scans to 50% and switches to vertical. I scanned 14 channels on AMC21, is that correct?

I've seen plenty of D500's & D* Phase III dishes on fish houses...heck here in Minnesota some fish houses look BETTER than regular houses

we use to have a 12x30 fish house that we'd pull on the lake with the tractor....needed 2 feet of ice minimum to take it out
TV
dish network
radio
CB
nice heater in it
stove with range
slept 6 or 8 I forget

then the house (along with 3 or 4 others) got torched by some idiot :(

Aren't you near I Falls? (it says NW Ontario so I didnt know if you were near I Falls or T Bay)

We've got a huge "ice town" here on Mille Lacs Lake in the winter. The resort guys plow the snow on the lake to make roads out to the areas where the fish houses are. And not a single lane road...some of the bigger roads are as wide for 4 vehicles to go across. :)

Use to be cool to have a radio in your fish house
Then a TV with a huge antenna on it
now satellite

Yes we're right on the border with I. Falls.....I was over there at lunch time today.

yeah, the "shacks" on the ice are pretty elaborate for sure. I'd like to build one that I can take from lake to lake and not have to do a lot of set up and tear down. Something that can be pulled behind a snowmobile or at least hauled in the back of a truck.

it should

12140 V 30000 just wont play them right ;)

Hmmm, so I'm missing a couple. I'll have to re-check exactly what I do have.
Now they mirror what is on AMC3 right? Same freqs and SR etc. 'cause Lyngsat as of last night still didn't have any info for AMC21.
Or I guess I could check out the thread on here.

K, I think I got 'em all.......now I have to move my G18 dish 'cause now the AMC21 dish is overshadowing it and I'm losing signal.........oh what fun!!!! Might throw up another dish while I'm at it.
