I have had to replace my 39" dish/motor , and , have happily been able to locate & refind all sats , active transponders , and , channels , from 83w to 125w. Except AMC 6 . It's been many hours now , without any luck. Is there some issue , such as , it was shot down ? Thanks for any input.

I appreciate the info. Getting all the rest of the sats back went fine . This son of a gun is making me tired . I just wanted to be sure I wasn't hunting for a ghost. Back to looking . Thanks.

Finally ! I knew it was close , and with a little luck I found it . Painfully slow , as i had to move the motor , go off the transponder , then back to it . The signal would drop off as soon as I moved the motor . Strange ! I appreciate the verification. I once spent 4 hours looking for something that wasn't there . Thanks much .

Do you have an H tp? I have a universal LNB with S9 and can't search using motor for V polarity. I've always wanted to get 72W.
11966 H[edit] 1666 - a bit weaker here then 12053 V 6890 . Which you could use by programming it H, and temporarily twisting the LNBF 90°. Then once you find it and program the location, twist it back, and program/scan normally.

I guess you meant 11966 H 1666. Nothing seen there. I might try twisting the LNB when weather warms next week. I'm not so motivated since I've always assumed I was outside the footprint of 72W anyway.

Yeah 11966 H 1666 is what I meant. [edited post] and I see what you're talking about: satbeams shows you on the edge. Might be a tough one.

not to mention a lot of receivers have a tough time (or lock onto slowly) a very low SR signal. The 6890 SR other signal would have been a quicker lock if the signal strength is reasonable.

Hmmm...you even have a larger dish than mine and nothing.
I had some Q this morning, now nothing.

Phlatwound says his is working.... now I'm confused since we both lost it, and my other 3 Ku dishes & 2 BUDs are working fine.
I had a little blip of about 20% quality yesterday afternoon and nothing since (wasn't enough to show any video though) :(

I just did a blind scan and the NBC mux was the only thing that popped in with video but I have fire on these 3 tps:

12053 V 6890 71% (NBC)
11840 V 29659 74%
12047 H 2500 63%

This is on my mancave setup, and I know it could use a bit of tweaking.

12053 V 6890 71% (NBC) 0% here
11840 V 29659 74% 99% here...Ok the dish still works!
12047 H 2500 63% 2% here

I wonder why I've got one flamethrower and nothing else???

That's weird. All or none would make more sense.

Yeh, 12053 has "The Voice" on Ch. 1 & 4, WC on 2 and black screen on 3.

I know right?.... It's really strange...Since the strong one and the non-existant NBC are both "V" that rules out polarity.
Yesterday I thought a tree had gotten tall enough to block it but the 99% signal rules out the tree.
(scratching head in confusion....)

Still nothing. I get all my other satellites and channels, just no 72W on Ku.
Got some clouds at the moment, but nothing to really block any kind of signal.
I'll have to try again later.

Maybe it has something to do with me being more in the center of the country and you guys being further out, maybe the signal is weaker right now away from the center for some reason?

That's all I can think of, maybe someone else will chime in.
