AMC 4 setup

Hi Guys,

I'm not so new to his fta stuff but my wife wants legal tv. I am having trouble locking on to amc 4 with a sg2100 motor, QPH invacom quad lnb, 4 port switch and a Captain 8000hd. I have changed the settings as follows.

DiSEqC Switch: Motor
DiSEqC Input: Port 2 (Linear)
LNB Freq: Universal

What else should I do to get this bird?

Have you ever had the motor tracking and working before?
Or, do we need to align it?

The Invacom LNB is not Universal, it's Standard <--- that'll kill you right there.

Also, I'm a little unclear if you have the motor and diseqc switch hooked up correctly.

I suggest you read it from the beginning down to the post that shows how you hook up a motor with a QPH-031.

motor tracts fine for big sats and galaxy 25 & 10r/18. I also picked up amc3 I just can't bring in amc 4

Is the LNB LO frequency set to Standard / 10750?

Use TP 11822 to locate AMC4-KU and 11860 to fine tune for highest quality.

Brian has you on the right track, though. If you are hitting others on the arc, you need to make sure you are hitting an active transponder on amc4.

so, even without a universal lnb a hobbiest can hit this bird? I'll try it tonight when I get home 11:00 PST.
