I have been trying to peak my Dish on AMC 3 @ 87°W without much luck. All I get is Quality range from 12 to 39 and I'm only able to lock about 6 transponders with 14 channels. when i do Blind Scan. I noticed during my Blind Scan, that I see Quality readings in the 60s, but at the end of the scans, no channels or Transponders appear with Signal Quality in the 60s. My question is then this; Do I have to eneter Frequencies Manually on AMC3 @ 87°W and does it generally have very low Signal Quality like I indicated above?

AMC3 is pretty active, what confuses me is you said you got 14 channels but at the end of your post you said you had none. AMC3 has PBS so you should get something, sounds like your on the wrong bird.

Power View Plus Network subscription channels come in at about 60 and I get 16 PBS channels two of which are HDTV. The PBS transponders range from 41 down to 29 with 31 being viewable for my receiver. there is TIP TV and The Patient Channel with strong signals 41 0r better.

Your receiver may be scanning the subscription channels and not listing them.

I get Channels from Transponders 11716 H, 11723H, 11736V and and some from 12180V and of the 14 channels only about 7 or so are viewable. The Patient Channel comes and goes.

Patient Channel and Tip TV are 7/8 FEC so you need a strong signal to keep those locked :)
Thanks ICE! :eurekaDoes it mean the lower the FEC figure the stronger the signal? For instance, 2/3 FEC is Stronger that 7/8 FEC?

brent is correct...the "lower" the number the more stablility it has at lower signal quality

1/2 is the best
most are 3/4
Dish is usually 5/6
7/8 you need a bigger dish or to be balls on

Please List your LNBF and dish. Maybe Lak7 can help you fine tune these channels, it's a wee tricky.

Sats on either side are good?

Mine's a wee tricky for sure.......
